DURA-TEK® brushless DC seal-less water circulation pumps have been specially engineered for heavy-duty transportation and commercial vehicle applications. Their compact size (3.0-in. outside diameter) provides an opportunity to replace conventional brush-commutated DC pumps and realize relatively higher performance and extended service life.
Typical applications include water circulation systems for heavy-duty transit buses, construction vehicles, and off-highway equipment, among others.
These rugged pumps featuring seal-less design offer leak-proof protection and can resist harsh environmental elements, such as hot-water spray, salt, fog, shock, and vibration. The pump magnetically couples to the brushless DC motor without a wet seal to wear or replace. This coupling method further allows for easy motor removal without requiring system draining.
Their electronically commutated brushless DC motor promotes virtually maintenance-free operation over time by eliminating trouble-prone brushes; rare-earth magnets deliver high efficiency and low current draw; and “O” ring seals further protect against the elements.
